The spool holder I created targets standard 3D printing filament rolls with a diameter of 55 millimeters. I carefully selected dimensions of approximately 55 millimeters round by 65 millimeters tall, with a 10 millimeter central hole in order to promote effortless rotation and alleviate strain on the extruder during filament extrusion. Following thorough testing, I'm pleased to report that this spool holder works flawlessly. It effectively mitigates potential printing difficulties and offers stress-free printing capabilities. The printable design consists of straightforward instructions. To create a sturdy and functional spool holder, use an ABS material with 5% infill, setting both internal and external wall thicknesses at 1.2 millimeters, and bottom/top layers at 1 millimeter in diameter. This specific infill density ensures that the printed spool holder remains strong enough to support rolls of various sizes.
