Filament roll holder for Prusa 3d printer
thingiverse
This is an incredibly user-friendly filament roll holder that greatly simplifies the process of loading and unloading rolls for your printer. Simply set the roll onto the four wheels and you're ready to feed the filament directly into the print head. The plastic side pieces clip neatly onto the printer frame in a manner similar to how the roll holder arms are attached by default with the printer itself. You will need two supports and four v-groove wheels for each individual roll. This design utilizes three-eighths inch metal rods, which have friction-fit supports that keep them securely in place at all times. The length of the metal rods allows you to easily design it for either one or two rolls, simply by adding an additional four wheels for a second roll. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 10% Notes: Wall thickness and infill are not particularly critical since this is a design that involves no high-stress parts at all. I used PLA for the model in the photograph, with side walls featuring three passes and four layers for top and bottom surfaces.
