Update: After using these for a while I modified the design to include larger text, and an arrow to identify the direction of the wrap. I also modified the use instructions and image to show proper use. ####Why Design Another Filament Clip? I've tried many different filament clips in my attempt to eliminate tangles. The best solution I originally found was using the spool's retainer holes; however, this has its drawbacks. Some manufacturers don't provide adequate positions or numbers of holes; and although less frequent, I've still had some tangles that ruined prints. Clips work well holding the filament but with my fumble fingers I've still caused tangles when removing or replacing them. The tangles happen when I lose control of the filament's end and allow it to spring back to the spool. ####What I Need in a Filament Clip - No clipping to the spool rim - A flag that identifies the loose filament end - Prevention of loose filament tucking under another filament loop - No need to remove the clip when using the spool - Works with any spool - Easy to print, no assembly - Easy to use I can't say every idea behind this design is all my own. It's a compilation of the best parts of the clips I've used mixed with my own design ideas and preferences. If you like the design please give it a "Like."
