Filament Rammer
thingiverse
I have a Prusa MK3S with a direct drive extruder- this is a last resort tool to unclog filament jams between the extruder gear and the nozzle. Be extremely careful not to damage your machine when using this rammer. Use at your own risk! Basic instructions are heat the hot end 30 degrees C or so above what you'd normally use for the type of filament that's jammed. Carefully insert the rammer into the PTFE tube below the extruder gears and push on the jammed filament. This tool has saved me having to disassemble the E-axis assembly for very bad jams. I'd like to reiterate that this could damage your machine, and to use with caution- cold/hot pull methods should be tried first. The handle is compatible with a 1.5mm diameter 150mm long stainless steel solid round rod lathe bar stock: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZP1SDZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
