I designed this to work seamlessly with the filament spool holders I created (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3583876). The rods used are 16 mm in diameter. To secure them, I simply wrapped rubber bands around the top lock and so far, it has been working just fine. However, I plan on developing a more effective locking mechanism later.
