Filament Pully Guide (Ultimate Z-Box Upgrade)
thingiverse
This modification relocates the filament spool to the rear of the machine, freeing up space on the side. The design proved more effective than anticipated and locating the necessary bearing was not a challenge. 50 bearings were ordered from Amazon at a low cost due to their affordability and potential future use in other machines. All machines will receive this upgrade. The large print size of the Ultimate Z-box creates an impressive wire management system, which is a feature that I thoroughly enjoy. This is version two of the initial design, as the first iteration would frequently fall off the wheel. When feeding the filament through the hole, it's essential to be extremely cautious and ensure that a bearing is installed rather than just a screw. A bearing is specifically designed for this purpose. Unfortunately, the AutoCAD inventor assembly files lacked a bearing matching mine in the image, so I included a picture of the type I used. The print was produced using Silk Copper filament, which matched the gold color of my Tevo Tornado printer perfectly and elicited reactions of excitement from onlookers. When informed that these modifications were made by me, some people are surprised, while others express shock. It's amusing to observe their reactions.
