Filament pulley - CTC A8
thingiverse
I made this filament pulley for my CTC A8 printer. It reduces chafing of filament significantly on display. The pulley is positioned above the display. It must spin freely at all times. Additionally, you'll need a metric screw with nut (2.6mm shank diameter or nail as shaft) and it can be easily inserted above the display. Print temperature is 200/65°C. The pulley requires brim printing, supports everywhere, and resolution of 0.2mm. The wheel requires brim printing, no supports, and resolution of 0.1mm. Infill is set to 100%. I used Cura DGO 14.07 as the slicer. It was printed on glass with extra hard hair spray. You can choose between two parametric wheels - a simple one or a more complicated design. The source codes for both wheels are included. With proper cooling and lubrication of leading rods, I've observed an accuracy improvement of 3D prints using this pulley.
