Filament Passthrough
thingiverse
I built the popular Ikea Lack printer enclosure, with a drybox on top to hold several rolls of filament. I needed a way to easy fish the filament through to the inside, and also keep the drybox from moving all over the place. This slides through a 7mm hole drilled through the top of the Ikea Lack and the bottom of the drybox (use a step bit!) and secures with a nut on the bottom. The top and bottom are curved to allow easier fishing of the filament, as well as less friction caused against a sharp edge. The nut is sized to be an exact fit, so I resized it to 100.5% in my slicer to get it tight without having to wrench it hard.
