It is designed so that the filament feeds through from the sides. This is used with a microswitch that has a lever arm to detect if the filament has run out or snapped. A chamfer is added for easy feeding of the filament. It is 3D printed in thin plastic. This is for use with Marlin: FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR. Note that ADVANCED_PAUSE_FEATURE is required in Configuration_adv.h to use M600 with FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR, and a connection to the RAMPS 1.4 board. Note that unloading filament in Marlin should be set to zero, as feeding it backwards into this could cause issues. 2.5mm holes are provided for screwing in 3mm bolts for mounting.
