Filament Oiler & Low Filament Alarm Accessories
pinshape
This is a set of accessories designed for use with the Low Filament Alarm as seen on EngineerDog.com. https://engineerdog.com/low-fi... The Low Filament Alarm is a detection tool that alerts you to low filament levels in any 3D printer, giving you time to pause and reload your filament before it runs out. These accessories include various mounts for the device and an in-line oiler attachment. To use the oiler, insert a piece of sponge, foam, or cotton swab to wipe away dust particles from the filament, preventing clogs in the extruder. The lubrication process involves dropping machine oil onto the sponge, which helps to lubricate the filament as it passes through, relieving strain on the extruder motor. Lubrication is especially useful when printing with PLA and navigating long tubes before reaching the extruder. It also reduces friction inside the extruder below the drive-wheel, where the filament is compressed on its way down to the hot-end.
