filament_movement_detector
thingiverse
I've been tinkering with a filament detector, movement detection, and jam/clog detection unit, and the results are pretty sweet. This baby uses common off-the-shelf parts that'll be available as a kit or ready-assembled in my Tindie store soon. To print this thing, you'll need to set your 3D printer to 30% infill. Here's what you'll need: * A bearing (608zz) * An optical coupler * An optical shaft encoder * A 6mm idler As for the movement controller, I've got that covered too. I designed this thing using Tinkercad, and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/0xGkDLscX0s.
