Spool Holder: A trio of parts designed to suspend your spool on an 80x12.7x12.7mm load cell, allowing you to process remaining filament with an Arduino MCU featuring an OLED display and interface buttons. This design fits into the stock Ender 3 bracket in place of the hollow filament holder, attaching the load cell to both bracket and spool using M4/M5 hardware. The bracket was printed at 100% infill for added support, but printing it lower may be sufficient. The rest of the parts were printed with moderate infill. The spool holder is designed to accommodate four 10mmOD x 5mmID bearings for smooth spool rotation and should press fit into place without difficulty. If necessary, a small amount of adhesive on the inner race will secure loose bearings in position. Interface Panel: Recent redesigns have improved the interface panel's construction with a proper perfboard installation. The Arduino Nano, buzzer, HX711 amplifier, micro tac switches, I2C pullup resistors, and button pulldown resistors are now soldered to the board for optimal performance. Key Components: Arduino Nano 10kg Load Cell and HX711 Amplifier 0.96" I2C OLED Perfboards Software: Access the functional yet potentially incomplete Filament Minder software at https://github.com/SeanTheITGuy/filament_minder. Follow instructions in the Github readme for proper usage.
