I designed a simple lever using Fusion 360 to install under the screw that serves as the 'button' for the idler, making it easier to compress the spring with the thumb instead of directly pressing the raw screw head. The back pressure on the forward screw of the extruder fan mount works effectively without causing excessive flexing of the head and X carriage all the time.
