<p><strong>Filament Labelling System</strong></p><p>A clip to prevent unravelling of partially used filament rolls that can also be used to record the amount left on the roll (metres or grams) .</p><p>See IMPROVED VERSION at:<br><a href="https://www.printables.com/model/176468-filament-labelling-system-2">https://www.printables.com/model/176468-filament-labelling-system-2</a><br>&nbsp;</p><p>Files:</p><p>p0 to p9 (and blank) - tiles that slip<br>&nbsp;into the clip to mark grams remaining on roll<br>clip - keeps the filament from unravelling and<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; holds the digit tiles (up to 4 digits, ie: 1 to 9999)<br>plattens_4_each - 4 of each digit (ie: &nbsp;4 x 0s, 4 x 1s, 4 x 2s, etc) - a total of 36 tiles<br>blank - for inserting at the end of the clip for all you OCD peeps</p><p>Material: &nbsp;PLA, ABS, PTEG, etc<br>Layer height: &nbsp;.15 mm<br>Infill: &nbsp;10%<br>Brim and supports: &nbsp;None</p><p>Finishing Hint:</p><p>Print in a dark colour then ‘float’ light coloured paint (acrylic or other waterproof medium) into the recessed digit. &nbsp;Let dry completely. &nbsp;Sand face down to remove the &nbsp;paint for nice crisp digits.</p><p>Usage Hint:</p><p>To determine the amount of filament left on a spool, most manufacturers will have a tech-specs page with the weight of an empty spool. &nbsp;Use this or weigh an identical empty spool and subtract that figure from the weighed partial spool.</p><p>Once the weight of the filament on a spool is known you can use your slicers' weight calculation and subtract that after each print. &nbsp;Should be fairly accurate but I haven't tested it right down to empty!&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Regards, Paul</p>
