filament joiner made with a soldering station

<p>Here is how I made my filament joiner.</p> <p> <figure class="media"> <oembed url="https://youtu.be/vluz05Gha58"></oembed> </figure> </p> <p>Simply use a soldering station, adapt a piece of aluminium with a 2mm groove on top of it.<br/> Set the soldering station to the right temperature, use a PFTE pipe as a guide, and join the filaments !</p> <p>If it fails, start again ! But it works most of the time.</p> <p>I use it to join "pullstruded" filaments made with PET plastic bottles<br/> <a href="https://youtu.be/1_BWXhT5Y-I">https://youtu.be/1\_BWXhT5Y-I</a><br/> <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4969225">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4969225</a></p> <h3> Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>Prusa</p> <p><p class="detail-setting printer"><strong>Printer: </strong> <div><p>i3 MK2S</p></div><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p><p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>.2</p></div><br/> <strong>Filament:</strong><br/> none PETG </p> </p></p> Category: 3D Printers
