Filament joiner for multicoloured 3D prints
thingiverse
Initially, I was unsure about creating multicolored prints; however, after browsing online resources, I stumbled upon a filament joiner on Thingiverse. This device employed a milled aluminum block and a resistor secured in a hole using heat-resistant cement. However, this seemed complex and required a milling machine that I didn't have access to. As an alternative, I utilized a ceramic hair straightener, setting the gap at a filament-fitting size. This allowed for seamless filament joining without extra hassle. It is crucial to ensure the joint doesn't expand under pressure to prevent printer jams. To achieve this, secure the joint firmly and gently pull on both filament ends to narrow the connection. Delight in producing colorful prints! For additional resources and tutorials, visit Help Me 3D Print (http://helpme3dprint.com/blogs/news/19779971-filament-joiner-for-multicoloured-prints).
