Filament Holder / Stand

I liked the ideas from henryarnold's airtight filament container, but the spool holder he designed didn't work for me. It was very difficult to put together and didn't fit my spools right. I modified the side pieces and redid the rest of the design. I had a pile of cheap 608 bearings laying around, so I decided to make a holder that would fit my spools. This one should fit a good width range. It does use 8x 608 bearings, but it works great for me. The "bars" that hold the bearings are split down the middle and can be printed without any supports. The bearings will actually hold them together or a little glue works as well. Just snap it all together and a bit of glue at the ends, and you're done. There is a very small lip on the top part of the side to keep the edges of the bearing from going flush against it and rubbing as well as on the bar spacers, so make sure you put the surface side of the side piece on the inside. I printed this on a small printer (120mm x 120mm bed). The side pieces will fit if turned 45 degrees. I printed all 4 of the bar pieces at once with no issues. Designed in Tinkercad, Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice MP Select Mini, Rafts: No, Supports: No, Resolution: 0.2, Infill: 25%.
