Filament holder and dryer

myminifactory

I've crafted this enclosure to safeguard my filament, equipping it with an integrated DHT22 humidity sensor that showcases the humidity level on a vibrant LED bar using an Arduino Uno. When the humidity reaches critical levels, I recognize it's time to replace or rehydrate the silica gel. For the core structure, I utilized 2mm hobby glass (plexiglass), while the remainder of the components were printed in PLA. The joints were sealed with a hot glue gun for added security. The filament holder was designed as three separate pieces: two rings and the shaft. The shaft is anchored to one of the rings via four 3mm wood screws, resting on two bearings that ensure smooth rotation. The inner and outer supports are secured in place with six M3 screws. Additional parts used include: - Arduino Uno - DHT22 sensor - A collection of jumper cables - LED bar - 2mm hobby glass (2 x 50x50mm sheets) - 12x8x3 bearings (2 pieces) - M3 screws (6 pieces) - M3 nuts (6 pieces) - 3mm wood screws (4 pieces) Keep it safe, keep it dry!
