Filament Holder
thingiverse
I'm diving into 3D printing with both feet, and designing something from scratch seemed like the perfect place to start. This filament holder was my first attempt, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. To add some functionality, I scoured Home Depot for affordable alternatives and stumbled upon sliding patio door repair wheels - they were an inspired find. The original design I was inspired by on Thingiverse is worth checking out, but I had to make a few tweaks since their preferred components were way out of my budget at Home Depot. To get the job done, you'll need two packs of rollers from Prime-Line Patio Door Model# D1796 - or feel free to hunt down other options that fit the bill. The ones I settled on cost $6 for a set, which isn't too shabby.
