Filament Hanger Remix
prusaprinters
I really like this locking design, but the only issues I had were, 1) The tolerances are rather tight, so it was difficult to get the two parts to lock. And 2) I wanted to use a lot less filament overall because I have to conserve as I don't have a lot and I'm sure there many out there that are 3D Printing on a shoe string budget like me. The shaft the filament rests on is shorter, as is the height so both pieces would fit on my Creality CR-6 SE to print at the same time. The tolerance for the locking part is a little looser so it's super easy to fit together. Lastly, I designed it so both sides that face outward would print face down on the bed so they would be smooth or textured depending on your print surface. Even though the shaft is shorter, this remix is still great for 1 KG rolls (or smaller). Because this is a utilitarian part, I didn't need it to look pretty, I just want to pump these out quickly when I need some. My first print (the included pics) doesn't look great at all, but it works perfectly. Of course you can print it as fast and ugly or slow and pretty as you would like! I've included the fusion 360 file in case someone wants to tinker further and also a .3mf file. If you are new to .3mf, just drag in onto the “print surface” in Cura and it will load automatically. I've only used Cura so I don't know if it works the same with other slicers. Thanks go to Jackson for the great idea.Print SettingsPrinter: Creality CR-6 SERafts: NoSupports: NoNozzle: 0.6 mmLayer Height: 0.32 mmInfill: 20% Lines
