Filament Guillotine
thingiverse
I created a handy tool that trims the ends off filament, saving me from constantly reaching for snips to tidy up the extruder output. Getting fed up with this tedious task inspired me to build this little gadget, which I've attached directly on top of my MakerBot using Velcro. The base features two additional bolt holes, providing easy access for adding any accessories in the vicinity. If you're interested in building one yourself, here's a list of the required materials: - A classic Exacto blade - A 3/16 inch bolt and hex nut - Two rivets and washers - An elastic band to power the arm This tool works remarkably well and is incredibly satisfying to use!
