First design of a spring-loaded guide tube aims to absorb shock from pulling on a 5-pound spool. Instructions Print two shells with raft and supports at a 25% fill rate using 200-micron settings. Repurpose a leftover spring from the print head upgrade found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:42250. Upon printing with a fresh 5-pound spool, a noticeable jerk occurred each time the printer restarted the feed. This design attempts to minimize that stress.
