This ingenious design has greatly simplified the process of managing spool friction, allowing for a smooth and controlled flow of filament. I employ my custom-made filament rod holder (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1695002) to effectively manage M8 spool holders (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:545954). By carefully designing the component to introduce a moderate amount of friction, I've been able to prevent the filament from unwinding excessively. With this part in place, I no longer require the elaborate setup that was previously necessary. It effortlessly creates the perfect balance between controllable friction and guided filament flow, and it securely clicks into position!
