This precision-engineered filament guide snaps onto the Prusa I3mk3 spool holder with ease. The primary purpose is to prevent filament from slipping off the spool and forming unsightly knots, which often occur when using fresh rolls of material. Some filaments, such as PP, are particularly prone to this issue due to their inherent properties, but PLA can also experience problems if the print head makes large movements during printing. The guide's edge is designed for smooth loading and unloading, making it a breeze to work with. To ensure optimal performance, the printed material should be slightly flexible, allowing for seamless snap-on and snap-off functionality as well as effortless filament loading and unloading. I opted for PETG for my prototype.
