This is my inaugural design. One-kilogram filament spools don't fit snugly in my printer, so I sought a straightforward way to keep the end of the filament orderly, while feeding it directly from its original box. By storing the boxes upright and feeding the filament through the guide and the tubing that came with my printer, I can draw on the filament as needed. Meanwhile, the weight of the spool itself exerts sufficient friction to prevent the spool from unwinding.
