As part of my under-desk IKEA Samla mount design, I needed a way to better manage the filament path so that it wasn't scraping against the aluminium extrusions and other things such as the desk itself when printing. So, I designed a simple and small filament guide to fix that. The design could be further simplified to not use bearings but for robustness and longevity's sake, I decided to use bearings.Print RecommendationsNo supports are required for any of the models and all models are correctly oriented for printing. However, the pin model requires a large brim due to how little surface area its first layer takes up. Don't try it without a brim or it will be knocked over mid-print.Nozzle Size: 0.4mmLayer Height: 0.2mmPerimeters: 3-4Infill: GyroidInfill Percentage: 10-20%Hardware2x 694ZZ or 6942RS bearings (these are the ones I used)2x M4x6mm bolts2x M4 T-NutsInstructionsSimply press the bearings into place in the base. Move the roller into position so that it lines up with the inner bores of the bearings and then slide the pin through.DownloadIn addition to the 3MF files, the project's step file and fusion 360 file is included.
