The MakerGear Prusa Mendel comes with a PTFE filament guide tube that efficiently prevents the filament from catching on anything while it's routed to the extruder. For a cleaner look, I decided to create a permanent point for the spindle feed to fit flawlessly into the tube. The guide holder's front extension has an inner diameter of 4.25mm, while the tube itself is approximately 4mm in diameter. To assemble, insert the filament tube into the long extrusion end of the holder and secure with tape or glue for a tight fit. Mount the holder onto the frame using additional washers and two nuts for stability.
