Filament Guide Shelf Clip
thingiverse
This is a simple filament guide that clips onto the edge of a 3/4" shelf. It's designed to allow the filament to run smoothly from a spool holder on a shelf above the printer. I found that my spool roller functions much better with the path going directly down instead of at an angle. This design is easily scalable in your slicer to fit different shelf sizes and has no effect on print quality or functionality. Print Settings: Printer: MPCNC Rafts: Don't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.22 Infill: 20% Notes: These are the general settings for this guide. I actually used a layer height of 0.2258mm on my MPCNC because it allows full steps with the Z screw. I also opted for 40% infill to make it stronger. Combined with the lateral orientation, de-lamination should not be an issue. The object prints fine in its current orientation - although you may have a little cleanup on the inner-top of the path area, depending on how well your printer creates bridges.
