Filament Guide (Screw Mounted)
thingiverse
-= v2.1 =- Improved tolerances ensure a smooth fit without force. The bottom lip has been restored by about 1mm to prevent pressing against the metal lip below. -= v2 =- Changes were made to address the issue of the guide bending upwards and breaking due to filament tension over time. The design now hooks onto the metal lip, adding rigidity to the overall structure. Cut holes for washers have been added for increased stability. The filament guide was lowered by about 2mm to prevent scratching with the filament feeder, which caused filament bits to be scraped off like powder over time. This new design eliminates the need for supports. I liked the original filament guide made by Jonasen, but it had a tendency to loosen easily due to its reliance on friction. Using Ian Crossley's design as a reference, I merged the two and achieved brilliant results. The final product was created in 3ds Max, my go-to tool as a Game Developer.
