This guide clicks onto the top of a Prusa i3 and stops the filament from yanking against the spool's edges when the X axis reaches an extreme end or the spool is almost empty.\r\n\r\nFilament can be fitted into the guide even if it's already loaded into the extruder. Simply rotate the inner guide so the slots line up, insert the filament, then turn the inner guide to keep the filament from escaping.\r\n\r\nA small piece of sponge or foam can be wrapped around the filament to give it extra support and a drop of oil can be added to smooth the filament's path through the extruder.\r\n\r\nThis guide works with any spool holder as it clips onto the Prusa separately, but is best used with my Universal Spool Holder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2504871.
