My first filament guide worked like a charm until I found one filament broken just at the feeder level. This part, meant to be fastened at the rear of the X axis as shown in the first picture, prevents any unnecessary bending on the filament while extruding. For reference, I used M4x8 screws purchased from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015A37GLW/.
