Filament Guide for Prusa MK3
prusaprinters

This is a simple filament guide, which is clipped onto the upper steel bar of the Prusa MK3 printer, just beside the filament spool holder.

It consists of two parts which can be slided into each other. So you don't have to fiddle the filament into a tiny hole. Instead, you put the filament into the bay of one side of the guide and then slide the two together, which lock the filament in place.

Why using a filament guide? Some spools come wounded up pretty unorderly. Sometimes, this leads to tension and querky sounds. Although I haven't had any issues yet, I was afraid, that a longer overnight print might abort because the filament is stuck. A filament guide helps to keep the filament in track, minimizing the risk of entanglement.

Print instructions

Prints easily. No supports required.
