Filament guide for Prusa i3
thingiverse
A Basic Filament Guide for Your Prusa I3 3D Printer. First off, you'll need to install a spool holder on your printer. You can check out my design specifically tailored for a Prusa i3. Now let's move on to printing the guide itself! Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 The brand is RepRap and doesn't really matter what version it is, as long as you're using the same machine to print. Settings like raft support don't make a difference here. Just go for whatever feels most comfortable. On supports - since we want the guide's surface area open - we won't be printing with any supports. For resolution - let's just use 0.2 mm to keep things smooth. For infill, set it at around 20% which gives our part a solid but non-heavy look. Post-Printing Now, what comes next after you've successfully printed out this little guide is some sanding on those edge surfaces so they fit together perfectly inside the holes. Just gently smooth out any excess filament and make sure your guides don't rattle inside anymore. That's it! Now get printing and remember: clean print = fewer jams in the future!
