Filament guide for Mk8 extruder
thingiverse
After countless filament jams, typically within two hours of printing, the filament would spill out over the rollers, halting all extrusion and wasting considerable amounts of filament, ruining every print without fail, regardless of any tweaks, re-calibrations or YouTube instructions I tried. With this small guide now in place, I can effortlessly print for 10 hours or more without a single hitch, eliminating the need to disassemble everything and start over from scratch. It's astonishing that such an essential component isn't included with the Mk 8 model as standard. The final photo clearly shows where to install it; you'll need to remove the bottom frame of the extruder to fit it in place, then reassemble. To ensure a perfect fit, you'll need to drill a 2mm hole through the end opening. I'm hopeful that others will find this guide just as helpful.
