Filament Guide for DaVinci

Filament Guide for DaVinci

I've been using my DaVinci 1.0 to print with filament fed from an external spool via my Big Spool Holder (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:583800). This design was inspired by Ranh316's ingenious creation, DaVinci Rear Filament Spool Hanger (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:409100). Everything runs smoothly, but I dislike the printer's built-in filament guide because it pinches the filament when the top is opened too far and makes changing the spool a hassle. To solve this problem, I designed my own external filament guide, which securely clips onto the rear slot to prevent the filament from tangling or getting pulled off-center. As a result, feeding the filament proceeds without any issues. Now you're ready to install your new device: Firstly, print the design using XYZWare's optimized setting. Mount the filament guide snugly into the rear slot, just as shown in the photograph.
