Filament Guide For Da Vinci Spool Holder
thingiverse
I'm actually going to take on a more thorough approach in assembling this particular setup for my Spool Holder System, bringing it more into line with the Da Vinci design principles that I really admire. By incorporating a carefully designed filament guide, I was able to achieve an even smoother overall system operation and minimize any unnecessary steps involved. To keep things properly aligned and in place, I selected two specifically chosen ridges for mounting, where I then proceeded to fit my guide snugly in between them using double-sided adhesive-backed foam tape - a perfect solution for this application. Also worth noting is the strategic modification that was made to the top cover of my spool holder unit by cutting it open along an angle with a utility knife while using masking tape as a reliable and consistent guiding edge, thus allowing me some additional room for easy tool replacement or upgrade purposes, ultimately yielding better accessibility during future setup modifications. To clarify on this detail specifically - when inquiring about the specific dimensions involved, my cut came out to be roughly 5 inches wide by 3/4 inch tall, all accomplished with nothing more than my standard Dremel power tool and an even finer attention to the layout. Enjoy!
