Filament Guide For Accessible Wade's Extruder with Locking Clip
thingiverse
Ben Jackson's Top Guide proved indispensable for my Accessible Wade's Extruder as it prevented the filament from falling off the hobbed bolt when tugged to the side. The Top Guide ensures that the incoming filament remains vertically centered above the hobbled bolt, regardless of its angle before entering the extruder. My minor improvement includes adding a locking clip that keeps the guide in place when screwed in; otherwise, it might flip along the axis of the bolt as it's only held on one side, rendering it ineffective. There are two STL files for 3mm and 1.75mm filaments, with the larger one possibly suitable for both uses. To use it, print the guide, apply pressure against the gear while inserting the bolt, and thread the filament through the hole; the inserted bolt's pressure prevents the top guide from lifting during the feed process.
