Filament Guide for 20mm Extruded Aluminum 3d Printer
thingiverse
I aimed to craft a robust filament guide specifically tailored for my Tevo Tornado. Given that I've got a top-mounted spool holder, I decided to create one that would seamlessly integrate with it! This sturdy guide is designed to securely attach to any standard 20mm extruded aluminum frame. To achieve optimal results, you'll need to reverse the orientation of this guide within your slicing program, so that the long flat edge is positioned at the bottom. Thanks to its clever design, it can be printed without relying on supports. I successfully printed this guide using a layer height of 0.2mm and an infill percentage of 10%. The resulting print was strong and reliable. When it comes to attaching the guide to your frame, you'll need to drill two holes for the mounting bolt. Each hole should be 5mm in diameter and 5mm deep. Additionally, I recommend countersinking each hole with a 10mm diameter and a depth of 10mm to ensure a secure fit.
