A vital add-on for Aurora Prusa i3 owners featuring an acrylic frame. It dramatically cuts down on friction by forcing the filament into the extruder from above, regardless of its spool's location.\nIn my specific case, however, the filament was pulled directly towards the side of the printer. This caused a horizontal entry angle into the extruder. Although relocating the spool might've solved the issue, doing so proved impractical for my setup. \nYou'll need one cable tie for this add-on to work.\nUPDATE\n--\nThe improved Filament_Guide_1ver2b.STL model uses a more forward-mounted cable tie where filament feed can remain uninterrupted when the X carriage comes close to the guide. \nThe upward-pointing arrow clearly indicates the optimal filament flow direction.\nSince my upgrade was overdue, prints shown above were generated with an older version.\n\n \nInstructions: For optimal results, print with PLA. Experimentally, higher upper-layer temperatures significantly decrease friction.
