This variation is based on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:311515. The original design was difficult to work with, particularly when trying to locate the filament hole. To overcome this challenge, Fusion 360 was used to recreate the part from scratch. It was designed tall enough to stand above the top plate of the Rostock Max 2 and features a tapered section that guides the filament into the bottom hole. To create the part, one must revisit the original submission for additional details. Applying a thread in Fusion 360 proved to be a problem. When attempting to do so, it failed to appear on the STL file. If anyone has experience with this issue, please reach out and share their knowledge. On February 28th at 9:20 PM CST, I received a note from a friend explaining that the "Modeled" box must be checked in order for the thread to appear correctly. This was an easy mistake to overlook. As my printers are currently occupied, printing the updated version has been delayed until tomorrow. Feedback will be provided once the print is complete. On February 29th at 5:23 PM CST, I had a chance to print the threaded version using my Rostock Max 2. The result was perfect and the knob it came with matched perfectly. There's no need to worry about printing this design. After further updates on February 29th at 8:35 PM CST, I acquired the nut featuring threads. Initially, printing it required using a tap on my Printrbot with PLA. However, this may be a sign that I need to adjust my printer settings.
