The design guides the filament away from the spool, maintaining a neat central spool and preventing it from unraveling everywhere. Here's what you need to do: 1. Print FilamentGuidePrint.stl if it's not already in your hands. 2. Assemble your Cheap and Lazy Filament Spindle (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4885) first. 3. Attach the printed parts to match the photo. 4. Fasten the guide onto any base section of your filament spindle. 5. Thread the filament through the loop for guiding it away from the spool and keeping the spool orderly.
