I mounted three guides on top of my Hictop printer, one for each filament skein. This allowed the filaments to slide smoothly while the extruder was in operation. To achieve this, I created a set of guide supports that would make it easy for the filaments to move freely. The guides came in two different types: single and double. While both were effective, I found that the double guide provided more benefit on the sides. This was because it offered additional stability and support, allowing the filament to feed smoothly into the extruder.
