Filament Grommet for IKEA Platsa Enclosure

<p>This is a filament grommet for 3D printer enclosures, that are built from IKEA<br>Platsa cabinets.</p><p>It is intended for small holes and relatively thick boards. The model is<br>parametric and can be adjusted to the required hole diameter and board<br>thickness.</p><p>The grommet consists of two parts, that are snapped together.</p><p>I use this grommet with an outer diameter of 8 mm and an inner diameter of 5 mm.<br>It works very well for low prints. However there is a lot of friction when the<br>print head is high, and when the filament therefore needs curve strongly. A<br>bigger diameter would have been better.</p><p>I have printed this grommet from PETG with a 0.6 mm nozzle. It does not need any supports. The print is very easy.</p><p>The model is written in the geometry language <a href="https://openscad.org/">Open SCAD</a>. &nbsp;The file <code>filament-grommet.scad</code><i> </i>contains the parts arranged for printing.</p>
