Filament Filter & Feeder for CR10S-Pro
thingiverse
The CR-10S Pro has several points where filament tends to flake or dust up, making it necessary to take extra precautions during printing. By combining multiple plans from other designers, I created a single print that reduces the entry angle for filament feeding into the runout sensor and incorporates a filter can at the top to clean the filament as it enters the path to the machine. After testing the arms that hold the bracket in place on the sensor block, I found that they allowed it to sag and wiggle when the filament would pull through. This caused issues with shift delays and problems during printing. As a result, the next model will have a full surround with less friction routing and additional supports to prevent bending and ensure smooth operation.
