Couple updates to the design have been made. A cap with threads to fit the ptfe fitting has been created. PTFE fittings are now installed on both sides of the filter, and the mount has been modified around it. Running a ptfe line down from the reel holder to the printer is working much better now. It's essential to add a drop or two of conola oil to lube the filament as well as filter out all the particles. The screws have been moved away from the center, and a filter box version for petg has also been added. Several times I had prints wrecked by the filament falling off the reel with the anet a8 reel holder. Originally, the reel spooling over the top was causing issues. So, I set out to make a guide using tinkercad. The filter housing from Kezat was already being used and incorporated into my design once I settled on the spool coming off the bottom. The rest of the design fell into place after that decision. The push in ptfe fitting is sized for m6. This is my first real made thing, and it's working great so far. It is designed to fit in the front of the anet a8 reel holder and then screw into the back part with the filter housing. I'm looking for feedback on if there are any changes that need to be made. The threaded filter housing is from this thing by Kezat, which can be downloaded and used along with his cap to complete the filter and guide.
