I'm using a PID controller that's paired with a Rex C400, which comes equipped with built-in solid state relays. The brass trumpet sounds are coming in through a 1/2 inch auger drill bit designed specifically for wood - it's about 15 mm in size. The project is now up and running on the tracking thread, and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the guys over at Roboforum who helped me get the wiring connections just right.
