Back in the day when I had no 3D printer I've designed this little extruder to help me understand what is all the fuss about. It is mostly working, soon I found out that filament to gear pressure will be a great problem. Not very functional, but it got me into 3D printing. I would still love to see a compact high performance extruder. Maybe some time in the future.
