Filament Entrance Ball Pivot

Filament Entrance Ball Pivot

thingiverse

I designed an entrance part for my enclosed printer that lets filament enter from the top and pivot freely without a large open gap. I've got two different ball fit options available, so you can choose which one suits your needs best. The tighter fit worked perfectly fine for me. Make sure the tube isn't too snug, as it might pinch against the filament if it's too tight. If necessary, ream out some space to make room. To keep the tube in place, I used tape - all I had was a short length of tubing at hand. This design requires a 20mm diameter hole or you can use a 3/4 inch bit and file it out slightly.
