Filament End using End Stop

Filament End using End Stop

I quickly assembled this alert system to notify when Filament runs out. It demands 1.75mm filament and was created using the endstop provided with the Tevo Tarantula. The endstop fits tightly, requiring destruction to remove it completely. There are two methods of mounting, both featuring 5mm holes. This design will impart a slight bend to the tongue, pushing it away from the endstop while tilting the tip back towards it slightly. This tension on the endstop button prevents catching on retracts. It consumes 1mtr of filament. All you need to do is install an endstop, configure firmware to pause printing and produce an alert sound when the endstop shifts from closed to open. I designed this using 123d Design - file included. Printer: Tevo Tarantula Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .2 Infill: 15% Notes: You may need a scalpel to clean up any edges for a better fit of the endstop. I used supports because S3D automatically added them, although I don't see the point if you have a decent layer fan.
