Filament Dust Filter with Colorizer
thingiverse
In my second update, I made the walls of the stem that inserts into the filament guide hole thicker because the old one broke. However, the lower half of the main section still doesn't fill in solid, possibly due to an issue with Maya (having recently upgraded from version 09 to 2014). I am currently using the old top half and the new lower section, which is working well. But I need to determine why the slicer filled only the upper half of the colorizer. In my first update, I completely redesigned the model after struggling with it since its initial upload. The updated version accommodates just one marker; I might remake it to accept two markers later. Additionally, the bottom does not fit snugly in the filament tube guide hole, resulting in a loose fit. However, I am currently printing a Rep 2 extruder upgrade in Sharpie blue, and the color appears even so far. Further updates may be necessary. This remix combines CreativeTools' Rep 1 & 2 dust filter (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:52203) with Cyclone's filament colorizer (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11742). The colorizer part required tweaking due to sharpie markers not fitting well with the original STL file, necessitating enlarging the holes for the markers. This is a work-in-progress (WIP) and may require additional adjustments.
